You want to join Shasta, how do you do it?
It’s easy! You just need to be of legal age and upload your valid documentation, which can be a passport/extension or identity card, to have your account validated.  Depending on the document presented, it allows you to carry out operations in a national or international ecosystem. Below we explain the difference between registers and ecosystems:

Registration with identity card*: if the document presented is your identity card you will be able to link Banco Nacional de Crédito accounts to Shasta, having a BNC account is a mandatory requirement, as this account will allow you to deposit money to the App or withdraw it to your BNC account. In this way, you will be able to operate in the national ecosystem, where you will be able to exchange currency between euro and dollar through the App and mobilise your money in these currencies to send and make payments or request and receive amounts from contacts who also have an account in Shasta, all through the App. So you can make transactions to your Shasta contacts, as well as via QR code or email, even if you and your contact are located anywhere in the world, including Europe! If you don’t have a BNC account, we can help you with the opening process.

*Users who register with a cedula cannot make bank transfers or withdraw money from or to other non-BNC accounts, so to receive money from a third party or send it to them with the App, the contact must also have a Shasta account by downloading the App and registering with their valid documents.

 

Registration with passport or extension: if the identification document is your passport or extension you will be able to operate in the international ecosystem, where you will be able to link international accounts in euro or dollar to withdraw and deposit money into your Shasta account and deposit funds in the App with a credit card. At the same time, if you also have an account with Banco Nacional de Crédito, you can optionally link this BNC account to your personal Shasta profile, together with your international account. You will also be able to exchange currency between the currencies mentioned with the App and make transactions to your Shasta contacts by the different methods we offer, as well as being able to operate with SEPA or SWIFT bank transfers if your account is successfully validated in the App. Remember that in both cases, the documentation must be valid.

Registration with a license to operate in the national ecosystem*

This means that you will be able to link your BNC account required to deposit or withdraw the funds you have in the App. This is a mandatory requirement, as this account will allow you to trade in euro or dollar or exchange currency between these currencies through the App itself. And to be able to move money with Shasta, you will be able to make instant transactions between Shasta contacts who also have their account in the App through the different methods we offer, being able to make transactions through the QR code and using the email or username that your contact has entered when registering their account. In this way, you can send, request or receive money, both in euro and in dollars, to contacts in any country, even in Europe! If you don’t have a BNC account, we can help you with the opening process. 

*Users who register with a cedula cannot make bank transfers or withdraw money from or to accounts other than the BNC, so to receive money from or send it to a third party with the App, the contact must also have a Shasta account, downloading the App and registering with their valid documentation.

Registration with passport or extension to operate in the international ecosystem

This means that you will be able to add your international account to deposit or withdraw the funds you have in the App, whether they are in euros or dollars, as well as the possibility of optionally linking another BNC account if you have one and a valid identity card. And to be able to mobilise money with Shasta, you will be able to make transactions between Shasta accounts using the methods explained above, as well as being able to make bank transfers if your account is successfully validated. By means of these transfers, whether SEPA or SWIFT, you can send money to other bank accounts and receive money from third parties by indicating the details of your account that you will find in the App itself. You will also be able to deposit money by credit card and exchange currency between the euro and the dollar or vice versa. Remember that in both cases, the documentation must be valid.
